My distractions...

Every time exams come around or I have to write a paper I find myself obsessing over some kind of show. My first year in college I tried motivating myself with Friends episodes at the end of a 20-30 minute study session.

The following year I decided sitcoms were too long of a reward for a 30 minute study session so I switched to 5 minute cartoons of Pink Panther :)
Now my biggest distraction is Elmo with Chris Brown

This is not embedding a video I suppose but I don't think I can do that unless the video is saved as a clip. I can only hyperlink you tube videos it seems. hmm....

about me

This is a great place to actually get to know all our classmates a little bit better. I am in the TIE program at HGSE. Before coming to Harvard I worked in development for a foundation at a biomed research institute. I graduated from Wellesley College in 2006 with a degree in psychology and educational studies. I am interested in children's educational media although I initially became interested in this field through teaching. I taught in high schools and middle schools in Bangladesh and Uganda, where I mainly taught physics and math. I worked in a preschool in the US as well.

I am from Bangladesh although I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. I lived in the coldest part of Saudi Arabia where you needed a winter coat all 12 months. (Yes, it is not all desert).

test blog for T-560

Yay! I created my first blog. I used a simple template that reflects the green phase (colorwise) I am going through now. This is actually way more fun and interesting than all the readign I have to do for other courses. I rty to keep online distractions in control and hence never tried a blog before. I also didn't like the public nature of blogs but I could very much get into this (and use it appropriately).
